You will need to gather 2 items. A comb and a piece of notebook paper.

Tear off a piece of paper just less than the size of the comb.
Place the paper on the comb. It will be situated between your lips and the comb itself.
Now, holding the paper on the comb, bring it to your mouth and hum.

I like doing voices. I can do Eric Cartman the best. I do really good impressions of Buffalo Bill and Hanibal Lechter from Silence of the Lambs too.

Hmmm....interesting thread!

IMHO....the ability.....or lack there-of.....can be almost be traced back to a persons upbringing! Being one of 6 siblings....and having a father who was a part-time musician, and a mother who was an artist......ALL of us still use talents in both of these areas. We were encouraged to play several different instruments, sing, dance, draw, paint, etc........we simply were "directed" in these areas!

In HS, I played alto and tenor sax.....haven't picked that up in 40 years, but have learned to play hammered dulcimer, guitar, and piano. Boy! How I'd love to learn the drums so I can go to my next class reunion and play "Wipe-Out"!!

Several years ago, I learned to clog......with five other "older women", we formed a dance troupe and performed all over; fairs, community events, even danced in Nashville, Toronto, and Huston! People were amazed to see US doing things with our feet that some of the young kids couldn't do!

This early spring, 5 of the instructional portions of my Adult Ed. classes were taped by the local cable channel as pilot programs for the Educational TV. (Heh, heh......move over Martha!!)........p

HOWDY-HO!!!....Mr. Hanky the Christmas Poo
THAT'S MY CHICKEN-POT PIE!..---Cartman from South Park as HG alluded too! One night, just before performing a serious emotional song, I did that impression which had the crowd rolling as I had pulled the Cartman impression off perfectly ... even better, I floored them after the rendition of "It's Been Awhile" by Staind a few minutes later ...

Sounds like we may have to start our very own "Storm2k" band with all this talent lurking here!

ROCK ON!

I sang once. Just once though. Not a good idea without lessons, for me anyhow.

I like to sing...I get lucky hitting the right notes from time to time - I guess it depends on the song and the vocal range.

I LOVE to dance. The Disco era was for me! I probably would've loved living in the 50's too because of all of the dances.

My gosh Steph, If I didn't know better, I would say that my daughter was writing your posts for you. Her life right now is mirroring your post. Piano, violin for one year, girl scouts. Wow.

Does she like to dance & sing? That's pretty cool Blizzard!

Bill - nice basses? Oh, guitars!

She took dance lessons for one year when she was 6 yrs. old, she sings pretty well. I get the karaoke system going in the basement and she sings away.

To the utter chagrin of the family, I sing along to EVERYTHING...background music in flicks they're watching, radio in the car, you-name-it.

But for my OWN pleasure, I have a ball doing so with a few VERY special CDs...Bat Out of Hell, Bangles "Greatest Hits", Enya, Adiemus, and of course The Rocky Horror Picture Show soundtrack.

Hey Bill...ever think about recording books or stories on disc or tape to share with others who can't read or see. You have a good voice for that kind of work...and should be able to do that right there from home.

Maybe even add in a little background music.

I do this on stage utilizing all 4 voices. It is Eric Cartman's voice doing his stuffed animal's voices at the same time.

Breeze and OtherHD peeps after my own heart!
I have been playing the saxophone for over 19 years. I have played a baritone, Tenor and an Alto sax. I currently own a 1953 Martin Tenor and a 2001 Mark VI Black Nickel and Gold Alto Sax. I currently play my alto the most :D.

I love to play and can't wait to play when I get home. I am in a Praise and Worship Group/Band. I have also played with Charles Martin (Christian Sax Arist) and was invited by Ron Kenole (Christian singer) to play with him at a Worship Symposium in Orlando Florida. I had to decline since the USAF wanted me in Korea 2 weeks before :(

Some great tallent here!

Okay we must start a Storm2K Band. I'll be the bass player and Stormsfury will be lead singer.

Who else wants to join?
