Unfortunately, this one is likely going to Honduras
I totally agree. I've been thinking Honduras/Nicaragua for a few days now. I think the models are too far north, and I think the NHC is a tad north. But that is just my non-professional opinion.

This was in late November. Huge difference.
Oh I know. That's exactly why it will NOT pull a Gamma. But I bet a lot of people in the Caribbean wish it would... I could see this beocming stronger than a category three. Easily.
BTW, If this does go south of the model plots, then it'll be a flooder in Central America, or a major impact to Belize City.

I agree, I'll be SHOCKED if it only gets to Cat 3... I fully expect at least a 4 out of this.

As long as the shear reminds low and its moving into the TCHP. It is how much time it has that tells how strong it will be. This could be another dean if given the time.
Dean did not sound like a mean name. But Felix is kind of like Floyd to me. Also Ingrid sounds like a beast from the underworld. You should of been rooting for 96L to get Felix because Felix is now going to be feasting.

Looking at the forecast points vs my own interpretation of the visible, it seems to be gaining a bit more latitude than the forecast calls for. Anyone else also seeing this?

I thought so too. But it's hard to tell until there really is an eye to track.

Felix looks to be another major hurricane by the time he reaches the western Carb. The only thing holding him back now is its close proximity to South America. Felix could easily be a Cat-4 hurricane. Should pass just to the north of the ABC islands. Looks like another carbon copy of Dean's track except a little futher south. North Honduras or Belize perhaps. USA should be safe......MGC

Yup, it's definitly a hurricane now. There'll probably be an upgrade at the 8:00 PM Advisory.

agreed, I think we may see it be upgraded at 8, but not likely however 11PM for sure the way it's going right now. heck the way it's going it may be a cat 3 in 24 hours.
