That should read Hurricane Gaston because in Feb of 2005 the NHC change it from TS right before it made land fall to Hurricane.

We should have a Depression tomorrow afternoon or evening off the coast of FL GA ...

or very close to one anyway.. looks quite impressive .. still no closed surface low per se but it has come a long way from this morning

Just a guess, but I think that the strong upper level divergence is keeping the convectiong going more so than low level support at this time.

actully i have found plenty of W and WSW winds near daytona and flagler .. and N winds near JAX and GA with NE wind near Sc

so there is a closed surface low .. but pressure are high yet and need to come down ...

i would say we should have a TD tomorrow ..

notice the upper low to the south... looks just like the set up to diana in 1984 a bit... could be interesting

i would have to think we would see an invest sooner rather than later.. i figured we would have already seen it, but i am sure it will be coming soon...

Oh Jesse,we posted at the same time the same thinking. :) NRL is having problems.If you go to the site,there is a mess. Maybe is already a invest but with the mess we cant know if they have it or not.

:D ... yeah i know i saw it... looks like a huge mess.. both sites too not just nrl but the fnmoc site too... youre right, it could be, but i would have though i would have seen some models by now... who knows...

Well I would think they would at 5:30 If they think it is a TD. I just got home I havn't looked at it yet. came in to see what was going on first..

yes it will... at least it got a mention earlier... i would think it could get more than just a mention at 530.. daytona, memories of edouard and frances... we were in that area for both.. of course we went south for frances from daytona..
