lol, that would only be possible if there was no shear and the hurricane had had 200 mph winds before getting into too cold waters for maintaining intensity, and on an abnormally humid day across the state at the southernmost point in like Chula Vista and even then it'd be a Category 3 at most. :ggreen: But I don't have a problem with it as long as we all know that a 155 mph storm is about impossible.

My post in this thread is near enough impossible as well, but no-one complained about that :)

AT 11 AM EDT...1500 UTC...A HURRICANE WATCH IS ISSUED FROM SURF CITY NORTH CAROLINA TO CAPE HENLOPEN DELOWARE INCLUDING CHESAPEAKE BAY AND PAMLICO AND ALBERMARLE SOUNDS
A HURRICANE WATCH MEANS THAT HURRICANE CONDITIONS ARE POSSIBLE IN
THE WATCH AREA WITHIN 36 HOURS.

RESIDENTS WITHIN THE WATCH AREA SHOULD FOLLOW INFORMATION AND
RECOMMENDATIONS FROM LOCAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OFFICIALS.


AT 11 AM EDT...1500Z...THE CENTER OF HURRICANE HUMBERTO WAS LOCATED
NEAR LATITUDE 28.3 NORTH...LONGITUDE 73.2 WEST. THIS POSITION IS
ABOUT 580 MILES SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF CAPE HATTERAS NORTH CAROLINA.

HUMBERTO IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHWEST NEAR 12 MPH...AND THIS
GENERAL MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE INTO TUESDAY WITH A TURN TO THE NORTH-NORTHWEST.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS REMAIN NEAR 120 MPH...185 KM/HR...WITH
HIGHER GUSTS. SOME FLUCTUATIONS MAY OCCUR BUT LITTLE SIGNIFICANT
CHANGE IN STRENGTH IS LIKELY...AND HUMBERTO IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN A
POWERFUL HURRICANE FOR THE NEXT 24 HOURS.

HUMBERTO IS A LARGE HURRICANE. HURRICANE FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD
