NEW JOB

#1 Postby cajungal » Fri Sep 07, 2007 9:25 am

I just got a new job at an extremly busy vet's office as a receptonist. (same vet I take my yorkie) I gave my boss at Sears my 2-week notice yesterday. And I start my new job on Sept 24th. I am soooooooo nervous! It will be sooo different than retail which is all I ever done. She said I will be on a 6-month trial period, she said that is how long it will probably take for me to learn everything. I went to observe how the front desk was run, and it looked overwelming. But, I am ready for something different and to give it a try. Plus, I like the fact that I won't have to work weekends anymore. Well, I will work every other Saturday but only til noon. So, it is still like basically having your weekend off! Plus, if it doesn't work out, I know my old job will take me back. It is not like I am leaving on bad terms!

Congrats -- Your new job sounds far more interesting than retail! And I'm sure you'll have (anonymous) stories to share with us, hilarious as well as compassionate.

Good luck to you, cajungal! The doc that I work for is retiring, so, this week will
be my last week at the office. I've got some good leads on future employment,
but, I haven't decided on anything definite, yet! Cheers to the future!
