Which DEPRESSION will win the race to HUMBERTO?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

I say TD8 will become Humberto and TD9 Ingrid concurrently at 5 pm.

Perhaps neither one - the Gulf system is soon to be on land, and, the one in the Atlantic might encounter shear in the next day or so, so...

We'll see...

I say it'll be a tie and they'll have to name them Ingberto and Humgrid.

TD Nine, due in large part to the fact it'll be having updates issued every three hours rather than every six hours for TD Eight.

thats a silly comment lol...

in TD9's forecast discussion, it clearly said they plan to upgrade it a little later...and in the atlantic, there won't be any shear until about 60W for TD8.

I think TD9 will get Humby.

Been busy today, and, haven't had a chance to read the TCD, so, not silly, just a bit short on time, and commented based on it being so near to land (and heading in that direction)...

Per the advisory, it'll be making landfall this evening, so, it won't be a TS for very long...
