VERDE ISLANDS FROM 15N TO 17N BETWEEN 27W AND 29W. SCATTERED
MODERATE TO ISOLATED STRONG SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FROM 13N
TO 16N BETWEEN 30W AND 33W.

Where is everybody? This Wave has some potential and is at a climatologically favored lattitude for a long tracker. That TUTT should be long gone by the time this wave gets farther west...

and a ridge is building in over the Western Atlantic for next week through the weekend...

seems like sooner or later one of these waves north of 15N is bound to develop and bust through without getting sheared to bits recurving or staying way to the south.

Hmmm...

Good post I agree. This will stay much more southward. Is away from the tutt.

If this wave keeps it up it may become an invest.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS TPC/NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
1130 AM EDT SAT SEP 15 2007

FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON TROPICAL
DEPRESSION INGRID CENTERED ABOUT 510 MILES EAST OF THE LESSER
ANTILLES.

A LARGE BUT DISORGANIZED AREA OF CLOUDINESS AND THUNDERSTORMS
CENTERED BETWEEN AFRICA AND THE LESSER ANTILLES IS ASSOCIATED WITH
A TROPICAL WAVE. SOME SLOW DEVELOPMENT OF THIS SYSTEMS IS POSSIBLE
OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS AS IT MOVES WESTWARD ABOUT 10 TO 15
MPH.

AN AREA OF CLOUDINESS AND THUNDERSTORMS CENTERED ABOUT 200 MILES
NORTH OF HISPANIOLA IS PRIMARILY ASSOCIATED WITH AN UPPER-LEVEL
LOW. THERE ARE NO SIGNS OF A SURFACE CIRCULATION AT THIS TIME AND
ADDITIONAL DEVELOPMENT...IF ANY...SHOULD BE VERY SLOW TO OCCUR.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS.

May be trying to twist up. Too early to tell and a touch too close to naked Ingrid.

Several weeks systems this morning (including what's left of TS Ingrid) - the Atlantic basin looks quiet in the short term, anyway...

It does look like it wants to tighten up.

I don't know, it's a little too close to the shear of ingrid to last long though.

folks just an update regarding Ingrid as we discuss the the wave SW of the Cape Verde Islands... as many of us have written Ingrid off -- the shear over Ingrid is now forecasted to possibly weaken as early as tomorrow now. Again, its another lesson not put faith in model shear forecasts.

So the real focus will be on Ingrid still in my opinion....

check out the thread for updates. :P
