GFS can not be used for intensity. Ask Derek Ortt and he will tell you. It showed Felix was an open wave when in fact it was a cat 5. If you even use the GFS at all then only look at the track (and that is not even a good idea). Intensity forecasting is the worst part of forecasting tropical cyclones.
