What happened in Florida and Georgia associated with this mess?

There was a tornado with significant damage in Eustis, FL last night. A tornado was reported near Waycross, GA earlier. Now there are some tornado warnings in SE AL, but nothing confirmed so far. An outer rainband(the first one) is just to my south but having a hard time getting here.

Looks like the tight little vortex is making landfall around Destin and circulating around a broader center south of Navarre Beach...which is heading WNW just offshore...

Not to lessen what anyone else has gotten from this system, but up to this point here in Mobile only a couple of showers and a few wind gusts, maybe up to 20-25. Nothing more, and I doubt we'll see much more than that throughout. I think the biggest threat will be the possibility of Tornadoes.

After looking at rockyman's radar, it does look like it made landfall around Destin.However ,I swear I heard our local weather guy say it was about 35 miles southwest of Navarre. I don"t know,maybe I heard him wrong.

We know that, but based on radar and satellite images, it's possible to make that call.

It looks like the center is right on the coast.

Also, are we clear that landfall is the center of the center crossing the coast, not the edge of the center (or eyewall if there was one)? Pretty hard to tell with a mess like this. So it does fall to "when the NHC says it does."

Not quite, until the center of the low moves onshore, which it should do over the next hour. The models were terrible on this one.
