This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

wow, if your prediction comes to fruition, break out the crow for me....Will have to wait and see though. Already this year is far above last year when it comes to activity. If no storms were to form from here on out, it would end up a pretty decent storms as far as quantity goes......

Ya just think though that sooner or later the luck for the US is going to run out...It's a blessing though...This has been such a nice break from 2005, THE US mainland needed this...

I seriously doubt all 4 develop but 2 or 3 is definitely possible. 95L, CV wave, and possibly either 94L or the thing east of the Windwards. I'm not convinced on 94L yet.

If all of those develop, Karen and Lorenzo would be the most threatening IMO.

95L as far as I can tell is already a shoe in. The cape verde wave looks ok, while the central Atlantic system I would not put much on. 94L could form once it moves back into the gulf.

Mabe so, we have a lot of invests now. Funny thing, in the TD#10 thread as it was making landfall, a lot of people sure were saying 'the season's slowing now, not much else will develop, etc.' Saying this in Sep. usually means a crow dinner.

Of 'em all, I'd say the system south of the Cape Verde Islands has the best chance - the one east of the islands looks goofy this morning (LOL - I can't think of a good meteorological term, except to say that it appears to be almost stationary and becoming elongated to the southwest), and, TD11 appears to be strictly a sub-tropical gale center at this time...

As for the disturbed weather in the Gulf and Caribbean - that so far just seems to be more of a trough type feature - let's hope it stays that way...

The Grande Finale looks underway. We are seeing a barage of possibilities in the Atlantic.

Will the U.S luck run finally run out?

Looks like suddenly we are reverting back to late August/early September as far as synoptics.

Looks like La Nina anomalies are showing. At least is the far eastern end. The good news is more trofs and fronts that can make fishes. The bad news for me is the Gulf. They could turn NE. Towards me in S. Fl.

For 97L to complete the grand slam, it will have to basically come back from the dead...Humberto did that though...
