September snow here in Salt Lake City!

This is what it looked like from about 1-4pm on Saturday (the 29th of September).

It's not much, but this is by far the earliest I remember seeing snow in my 12 years of living here. It usually doesn't arrive for another 3-6 weeks! Officially, a trace of snow fell at the airport. This is the first time any amount of snow has been recorded in September at the airport since 1978!

EDIT: Could a moderator move this to the winter weather forum? I meant to post it there.

Could see more snow again this weekend; currently a 90% chance of snow for Saturday! Accumulations look likely in the valley with more than a foot possible in the mountains.
