Lindaloo I gather that your area has recieved plenty of rain overnight but if there is good news this morning for you is that the center will not cross your area directly however more rain in squalls is instore for that area but the turn to the right from the center wont take place until it is inland. But keep watching that track just in case it takes a right hook before landfall but I dont expect it since it is moving fast.

Good morning! Looking at the doppler radar estimates of rainfall since yesterday evening around 6:00 it looks as from about east of Hattiesburg SSE to around Mobile,AL have seen the heaviest rain. Some places in extreme SE MS are estimated to have received around 10".

Garrett, I am extreme SE MS. I am 10 miles from the AL. State Line. It started raining heavy last night around 9:30, complete with thunder and lightning and some wind. It is still raining this morning.

Ceye, that is excellent news for my area. The area where I moved my horses from is now underwater. (including the stables). Thank goodness I moved them. Some sections of HWY. 90 are underwater and closed because of the Escatawpa River. There is an alligator farm out there too. During Georges they got out of their pens and were swimming onto the HWY. lol.

Thanks Marshall, Kelly and Poppysky for the much needed prayer.

Lindaloo it's not over yet for your area as plenty of train rains will continue to fall on your area maybe between 4-7 inches more than what has fallen already and watch for any tornadoes over there.

Also Lindaloo now the center is moving NE so it will pass more close to your location and now the effects will be more rain in squalls for you so be safe my friend.

We are under a tornado watch as I type. Heavy rains are occurring right now with embedded thunder. A waterspout has already been reported near Horn Island (about 5 miles from the beach front). We are used to those and are awesome to watch and very rarely move inland. During tropical storms or hurricanes they always can and will move onshore however.

They have now opened school shelters and are evacuating low-lying areas and people near rivers. HWY. 90 (a main highway) is now closed near the Escatawpa River. During Georges, Mobile (AL) opened their flood gates which in turn flooded areas here in SE MS that had never flooded before. Emergency Management is making sure this does not happen again and people get trapped like they did in Georges.

Kami GREAT to hear from you!! What is going on over there in Biloxi?

Linda, it is POURING! Not much wind...but we are getting flooded over here. On Lorraine Rd. (where I live) The water is covering the road.

Roads are closing EVERYWHERE due to flooding. Mostly here in North Biloxi (woolmarket) where I live.

Kami I just saw on WLOX on all the road closings in Harrison County. I saw the mention of Lorraine Rd. We just made it through a bad squall. Today is garbage day and I had to retrieve my garbage can lids at the end of the street. lol. They just floated right off.

Tom we still have 30 more minutes of this Tornado Watch in SE MS. Hopefully, it will not be extended.

Stay safe over there Kami.

Ya'll stay safe. Fortunately for central LA, we recieved nothing. Nada! Not a drop of rain. It was breezy all day with gusts up to 28 mph. The drawback - I had to work all day.
