What have you heard about this show Brent? Is it worth losing another hour of sleep for? LOL

I dragged all last week and this week is starting off the same way. We have 6 shows on Monday nights now - 4 solid hours. Not to mention the Cincinnati Bengals are playing tonight, on national TV. 3 of our shows are pre-empted for it and airing after 1 a.m. No, I'm not staying up to watch them....he he We'll watch them on Tuesday.

yes .. . I've seen the season premiere. It was one of my favorites of the season premieres leaked on the 'net.

I haven't seen it(I have NEVER watched a pilot before it aired), but EVERYONE is raving about it and the promos and clips I've seen it make it look very magical and special.

I have concerns though that it'll be a cult show and not appeal to a mass audience. I am not even totally sold on the show because it's not usually my kind of show, but I will be watching it and hope I like it.

Does anyone watch Brothers & Sisters?

Last nights episode was really really good. It pained my to watch it though being my niece's husband was injured and died from an ied in iraq this past march. I hope they have Justin surviving the ied attack.

Yes I do! I hated the pilot but then about 5-6 episodes later(around Early November last year) started loving it and have watched ever since. I like it a lot... and like you I hope he survived.

Disturbing Breaking News from Ausiello:

http://community.tvguide.com/blog/TVGui ... /700000049

Scary Scoop: Writers Strike Could Come ASAP

Surprised? Hollywood will be, too, and, according to my source, the Writers Guild of America is counting on it.

Here's the deal: TV and movie scribes are already up in arms over issues such as compensation for new media (translation: Internet downloads) and they're primed to strike. But the suits have been content to reassure themselves that it won't happen any sooner than spring, when the Screen Actors Guild contract is up as well and both groups can walk picket lines together.

Instead of waiting, however, WGA members received an e-mail just moments ago announcing a strike authorization vote — the results of which could be revealed in the next 10 days. If they vote to strike, the group could pack up their laptops when its contract expires on Nov. 1.

This would majorly tighten the noose around the necks of the guys holding the purse strings, because movie studios won't have had time to fast-track blockbusters to see them through a strike, and most fall TV shows will only have 10 or 11 episodes in the can at that point.

So what do you think? Will it happen? Should the networks and studios just pony up already? Or will this finally be what brings to the googleplex "Paradise Hotel: The Movie?" — Additional reporting by Ben Katner

I watched Brothers & Sisters on and off last year. I liked it more and more, I just was too busy to keep up.

I'm really excited for Pushing Daisies. I've been part of several cult fanbases like Buffy, Veronica Mars, and Donnie Darko so it doesn't bother me.. as long as it doesn't get canceled.

'Dancing' Vanquishes Monday Competitors
New shows, 'Heroes' decline as ABC rules night

Fast National ratings for Monday, Oct. 1, 2007

Two hours of "Dancing with the Stars" dominated Monday's ratings, while several new series suffered second-week declines.

ABC easily won the night with an 11.1 rating/17 share. CBS finished second at 7.6/12, followed by NBC at 5.8/9. FOX, 4.2/6, was fourth and The CW trailed at 1.8/3.

The adults 18-49 demographic also went ABC's way, though buy a smaller margin. The Alphabet earned a 4.7 rating in the demo, while CBS and NBC tied for second at 4.0. FOX averaged 2.5 and The CW 1.1.

"Dancing with the Stars" earned a 12.7/20 for ABC at 8 p.m. CBS came in second with "How I Met Your Mother," 5.1/8, and "The Big Bang Theory," 5.5/8. NBC's "Chuck," 5.1/8, took third (both it and "Big Bang" lost about a million viewers from their premieres last week). "Prison Break" put FOX in fourth place. The CW aired the premieres of "Everybody Hates Chris," 1.7/3, and "Aliens in America," 1.6/2.

At 9 p.m., "Dancing" improved to a 13.8/20, the night's best hourly rating. CBS held onto second with "Two and a Half Men," 8.4/12, and "Rules of Engagement," 6.6/10. NBC's "Heroes" was not far behind in third (it was also the night's top show among adults 18-49). "K-Ville" scored a 3.7/5 for FOX, while the season premieres of "Girlfriends" and "The Game" averaged 1.8/3 for The CW.

"CSI: Miami," 9.9/16, ruled the 10 p.m. hour for CBS. "The Bachelor" posted a 6.8/11 for ABC, topping the 5.2/9 for "Journeyman" on NBC.

Cavemen was A-W-F-U-L. Quite possibly the worst show I have ever seen. I think we have found Lost's timeslot! :P

I watched 10 minutes of Cavemen and flipped over to NCIS. ABC is falling further behind the other big three. Desperate Housewives and Dancing can only get you so far.

ABC is definitely ahead of FOX(and actually last week ABC and CBS nearly tied for 1st), which only has House right now. Of course when Idol comes in January everything is perfectly fine. Now THAT show sooner or later is going to fall(it was showing signs last season) and then they will have real trouble. None of their new shows have done a thing(Back to You started OK then dropped, K-Ville is about dead).

I think we can all agree however that The CW needs to just shut down. FOX is in amazing shape compared to them.

FOX Takes It to the 'House' Tuesday
Respectable starts for 'Cavemen,' 'Carpoolers'
October 3, 2007

Fast National ratings for Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007

A tight three-way race for Tuesday's ratings title ended with FOX narrowly beating ABC and CBS, thanks mostly to another strong performance from "House."

ABC led in households with a 7.9 rating/13 share, while CBS and FOX tied at 7.7/12. In total viewers, however, FOX's 12.58 million beat CBS' 12.28 million and ABC's 11.89 million. NBC, 5.6/9, came in fourth, and The CW trailed with a 1.8/3.

FOX also led the adults 18-49 demographic with a 5.0 rating. ABC took second with a 3.6, edging NBC's 3.5. CBS averaged 3.1 and The CW 1.3.

"NCIS," 10.2/16, ruled the 8 p.m. hour for CBS. ABC's new comedies "Cavemen," 6.1/10, and "Carpoolers," 5.9/9, got off to decent starts ("Carpoolers" had a few more viewers than its lead-in). "Bones" earned a 5.0/8 for FOX, beating "The Singing Bee" and "The Biggest Loser" on NBC. "Beauty and the Geek" averaged 1.8/3 for The CW.

"House" delivered a 10.3/15 for FOX at 9 p.m., winning the hour handily in viewers and adults 18-49 even though ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" results (10.4/16) had a slight edge in households. "The Unit" scored a 7.0/10 for CBS. "The Biggest Loser" improved a little to 4.6/7, while The CW held steady with "Reaper."

"Law & Order: SVU" posted a 7.7/13 to win the 10 p.m. hour for NBC. "Boston Legal," 7.4/12, finished second for ABC, while CBS' "Cane," 6.0/10, took a hit from its premiere last week.

Tuesday is kind of blah for me(OK very blah, LOL), but tonight is gonna be awesome... Pushing Daisies, Back to You, Private Practice, and DIRTY SEXY MONEY! :D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wt-BpfoLfnw

About last night... Cavemen/Carpoolers got off to a good start, but I expect both to suffer major drops next week(especially Cavemen). Reviews were beyond horrible.

Cane continues the Judging Amy curse at 10... looks like it'll be gone within 2 weeks. I actually thought it was better last night.

Tonight's review:

Pushing Daisies: Really good, but very very different and I have concerns it's TOO good to appeal to a mass audience and about the long-term plot.

Private Practice: Started VERY boring and dull, picked up in the 2nd half. Complete opposite of last week's silliness(which I think was better).

Dirty Sexy Money: AWESOME once again. Looks like this is the best show of the night. Sex tape next week! :P
