If the 18Z GFS run verified, then this storm would be a major drought buster for the SE US - probably would erase the yearly deficits at most stations. Checked the 200 mb winds and an upper level high builds over the western caribbean and eastern GOM in 5 days - hence the weak and slow motion of the storm (while intensifying).

here in northern Palm Beach county - we do NOT need any more rain! We will not be able to get out of our driveway if this is a rain maker. Water found it's way into one of our rooms already! The last week has been unbelieveable where we live.

But you know what's really unbelievable? Lake O,the source of water during the dry season,is still about 3 feet below normal..

It's raining, but in the wrong places..

We are west of Lake O and kept trying to blow the rain that way but it hasn't seemed to help much! :ggreen:

It looks like the whole Karen circulation...if this developed, would it be considered Karen or a new system?

8:05 PM TWD:

ATLANTIC OCEAN...
MESSY WEATHER PERSISTS OVER THE WRN ATLC THIS EVENING ASSOCIATED
WITH A VERY DIFFLUENT PATTERN ALOFT...BETWEEN THE UPPER LOW OVER
THE ERN GULF AND AN UPPER HIGH NEAR THE SE BAHAMAS. LIFT S OF
THE WARM FRONT EXTENDING ENE FROM NORTHERN FLORIDA IS ALSO
SUPPORTING THIS ACTIVITY. THE MOST CONCENTRATED AREAS OF
CONVECTION ARE CURRENTLY OVER THE STRAITS OF FLORIDA S OF 25N
BETWEEN 77W-81W...AND ALSO NE OF THE BAHAMAS FROM 23N-29N
BETWEEN 66W-75W.

Not sure what to think after reading this discussion, is this hinting potential or just what it really is, a "Mess".

Starting to see some nice cyclonic turning from my eyes....looks pretty good...I'd bet that it gets tagged as 91L tomorrow.

I agree, specifically near 26N/70W. Looks like the begining of a cyclonic spin. This area looks more impressive than 90L on the IR.
