Local spin on radar ?

If you have access to GRLevel3, look at 24.6 79.6. This is the first time I've seen a cyclonic spin on local (KAMX) radar with nothing going on.

Only some spotty showers moving through the upper keys.

Is this an eddy near the surface? It's about 50 miles from the radar.

I guess there are eddies all the time at low and mid levels, but like I say, never seen a feature like this just pop up in my neighborhood. The feature is apparently about 25 miles wide.

Weird? Typical?

This is a vortex that spun out of 92L into the clear air. Since 90L is an example of a well formed non-system I'm waiting on this to see if it convects. The atmosphere is really hostile towards convection right now as these naked systems are showing us. If you can't get a system to burst over the Florida Straits you can't get it to burst anywhere.

If it survives Cuba it will move into the NW Caribbean, which looks like it has pretty moist air and low shear.
