Final Talkin Tropics show

I have decided to no longer continue the audio program “Talkin Tropics” after this Thursday.

There are many factors, but ultimately it comes down to the fact that it is virtually impossible to devote a program to the tropics year round in an active season, let alone seasons like last year when little activity took place.

There are many other reasons for this decision, some political, some personal, and I am sure I will talk about many of them Thursday when the last program streams live at 9PM EDT.

We will also discuss the season so far and what to expect (if anything) before the end of the season.

See you one last time Thursday night!

Mike -I think that you are taking things too personally myself. I know that I as well as many others always wanted to see your postings. I and many I know that I personally have told of you always looked for your postings with the same respect as I would give to a met, sometimes more. The problem is, I see it, is you seemed to forget about the board once you started the program. If you posted it was very few and far between. True, there are times when rudeness has been allowed from mets that I don't think should have. What you are forgetting is that those that only frequent the boards when a storm is around are not even familiar with your credentials as you do not post and haven't for a long time on a consistent basis. The few times you have I have flocked to those posts and even commented that I wished that you would post more. I do know that storm2k gave you the exposure you needed when you were posting to get the audience you had. If you had continued to post then you would have continued with your following. This is just my take on things. The rudeness at times has gotten bad but I do feel that s2k has tried to deal with it as best they could and this season the tone has gotten better. I do hate to see you go.
