That is what we enjoy doing.

I've noticed.

now, they may take Karen back to a TS when the official final best track is released (which I hope they do), but for now, Karen is a hurricane

All you can conclude from the working best track for Karen is that one of the specialists thought it was a hurricane at a non-advisory time. It was not, and has not yet, been publicly upgraded. The ATCF working best track is an internal document only, subject to multiple revisions over time. This internal judgment that Karen reached hurricane strength between advisories may or may not survive the best-tracking process. The advisories ARE the official operational statements, until such time as they are publicly superceded by another public product (such as the Tropical Cyclone Report or monthly summary). Notice that in the NHC September monthly summary, Karen was listed by NHC, again, as a tropical storm. That is their public position until they say otherwise.

Thanks to Derek Ortt for explanations on why TD 10
was not a tropical storm.

Northeast atlantic near europe last
week (95L) that had 994 mb pressure and
45kt maximum sustained winds

Do the professional meteorologists think the Europe disturbance will be upgraded
post season?

Everyone feel free to post their thoughts on this system.
Here's the official data:
07/1145 UTC 51.0N 22.0W ST2.5/2.5 95L -- Atlantic Ocean
