If you had continued to post you would have been given the same courtesies by s2k as any of the mets here receive. The complaining about why that degree makes a difference is that there are so many on here they had to come up with a way to distinguish between those that do have credentials and those that do not. As I understand it you were given the same privileges as those that have a degree. The forum was named after your show. You could have started topics in the analysis forum and then others would have realized that you do have the credentials needed. Look back and see how often you actually did. I, for one, will miss you not having the Talkin Tropics show. I and others have missed you not taking the time to post as you once did. Ever since they started the Tropical Analysis forum have always continued to look hoping you would post about the storms that were out there. Just realize that just maybe you didn't try hard enough yourself to keep yourself known here. If it is just because the mets are given more respect than those that don't have a degree and haven't proved themselves, then I can only wish you well. S2k has tried to the best of their ability with so many members now to be able to provide a way so others coming here for important info could tell who to listen to and who not. That was by providing the tropical analysis forum for those they knew were capable such as yourself. I am sure my one voice matters not.
Good luck to you.

Mike, the show will be dearly missed, you had alot of loyal listeners. Thanks for using it to inform us for the last 4 years.

You showed alot of class, stating your opinions in a polite manner and not bashing anybody.

I look forward to your next project. :D

Mike, your show will be missed, and it was a great last show. Definitely dead-on as far as the rudeness of some pro-mets (which, as you pointed out, would get members banned but yet is allowed for "the elite"). I'll be listening for whatever your new program turns into!

Just as the show ended, the player started having problems again with the stream, some force is at work here :ggreen: .

Back to this, that was a great last show and I agree with some of the points you raised about the Internet and weather together. I enjoyed the history story of how the weather Internet community started and grew into what it is now.

Well, I had no idea tonight was the final Talkin' Tropics show. Time is limited with 2 young 'uns and I didn't get to listen to the show very much. But, when I was able to listen to it, I very much liked it. I am mostly a reader around here and only post every once and a while. I do read a good bit. I have always found Mike W's posts on this board to be very knowlegeable, educational, and interesting.
Mike, I hope you will continue to be around here and I hope that what Mark hinted at earlier is true. It'd be a shame to lose such an excellent source of information and insight.
