All of which proves -- without a doubt -- that far far far fewer counties in the United States are struck by hurricanes than those that aren't!!
Of the 3,077 counties in the United States, only 352 are considered coastal (including those in the Pacific states of California, Hawaii, Alaska, Oregon, and Washington). Of course, far fewer of those 352 coastal counties are in tropical- or hurricane-prone areas.
