and right at rush hour too. Traffic will be horrendous.

Sitting here to your north at Sandy Hill Bay Anguilla. I was waiting all day for the rain to reach us, LOL! Started raining about 4PM or so, we are already at one and 3/4 inches of rain. The cisterns are BOTH full and I have closed them and opened the storm drain for the roof to relieve the pressure on the cisterns, its a neat system, but I think my utility room will once again get a few inches of water. Its at the bottom of a down slope and I have yet to put in proper drainage. We have enough water invest 90 go away!

Getting a bit blustery now as well.

Here is the mudslide and how the van was broken by those big rocks that killed the two brothers and other two were badly hurt.

What people from the mainland don't always realize is that even an invest.....it doesn't have to be a tropical storm or anything stronger.. can wreak havoc on our islands and cause such problems.

Very heavy downpours right now. I will have to deal with the flooding in the utility room in the AM but I am worried this is a slow mover, if this gets over PR look out! I can't see the rain gage in the dark but it is likely close to 3 inches now.

Those poor guys in that car, it just breaks my heart! How awful for their families!! Yes, one never knows when one of those big rocks perched above the roads all over these islands will finally lose enough of it's surrounding dirt, get a push from a wind gust, and come tumbling down.

We had some low clouds and rain, with a bit of 'wooing' from the wind just before dark but right now it is eerily still. St. Thomas moments ago 1005.8mb wind NNW 4kt, St. Croix 1006.1 W@10kt.

If Jimsot in Anguilla got 3 inches of rain since this afternoon, then he got much more rain than I got at my house.
I live in the southern part of the island and maybe the French side which is the Northern part got much more than this side.
it's funny..we are a small island but there can be a lot of difference between the 2 sides.

Antigua/Barbuda also getting some showers... here's a good loop, speed it up fast and see the circulation, now almost north of Anegada. Clouds are growing, too. All we've had here so far are like bands, the real solid rain is east of the low. So just because it has "passed by" doesn't mean the weather will end. We may not get our heaviest rains until tomorrow.
