There, you're in the cone. Happy now?

Granted it's the 3-5 day but still. Technically you're in the cone.

I don't think anyone is trying to invoke hostility at all...just refuting the title of the thread now that we are in a cone for a storm...but as an earlier poster pointed out, all but extreme South Fla was in the cone this year with Andrea.

Hopefully we are all excited to finally have a system (and a weak one we hope) to track...we can argue about technicalities like cones in january!

This is just getting silly now...clearly anyone can see that South Florida was in the 5-day cone earlier today...to continue stating to the contrary is becoming humorous!

It is October 28th and we are all getting excited for S. Florida finally being in a cone. Sounds silly enough to me.
But now, the cone is no longer there.

I cannot believe that I had to actually log onto this forum, a rarity, to say that yeah - we made the cone. Why would anybody in SOFLA - that has lived here at least a decade - bet against being in the cone in any given year?

It just doesn't happen. Nice years, you don't board up. Decent years, you board up once or twice. Bad years - I was there for Frances, Jeanne, Wilma. Palm Beach County for Frances and Jeanne - Broward County for Wilma.

Yeah me.

Betting against being at risk is sort of silly. Considering. History and all.

Well, at least you acknowledged that you were incorrect, although you should, for the sake of clarity, edit your first post to acknowledge that you did in fact predict that we would not be in the cone this entire season. Instead it reads like you predicted that we would be in the cone for six hours. I think that was the whole point - your prediction didn't work out. That's what predictions are about - either they are right, or they are wrong.

Take it on the chin. Don't worry, be happy.

I would never, ever, even think that SOFLA would not be in a cone for an entire hurricane season. But, I like stacking the odds and being the house. The house always wins.

He wasn't just incorrect. He was a pompus twit. I think the remainder of the thread shoud be post after post of S. Florida in the cone. Then, was should drive to his house and throw pre-packaged ice cream cones at him and his family members. He should pay for being wrong!!!!! Just you wait until next year, for I, who is without sin, will throw the first..... CONE!!!!!!
