Biloxi - Ocean Springs Bridge Reopens 11/01/07

After 27 months, at least one side is finally open.

Great news! It's also excellent that the 2006 & 2007 season have helped on the reconstruction since no storm has affected this particular area.

Alright! We're planning on coming over next month. Now we can come our old route. It's just not the same driving I-10 and I-110.

The Biloxi Bay bridge is awesome... and will really be great when both lanes are running...
a word of caution to all... they have begun reconstruction on HWY 90, so right after you get off the bridge in east Biloxi you run into a muck of construction activity, especially on casino row, the east end of town... my advise if that happens is turn north and get to howard avenue, and stay on howard until at least porter ave, the street the lighthouse intersects on at the beach... but only do this if traffic is at a crawl on the east end.. they are scheduled to complete reconstruction of 90 in Dec of 08... they have not started in my area yet..

We were over in Biloxi Saturday night watching the Christmas Boat Parade. Such a beautiful sight. We decided to ride across the new bridge on our way to dinner. The new bridge is such an upgrade compared to the old one. Now all I have to do is live through the reconstruction of HWY 90 the next year.....MGC
