Developing Central Atlantic blob

#1 Postby Cyclone1 » Wed Nov 07, 2007 4:51 pm

Hear me out.

A blob has developed along an old, stationary frontal boundary. According to the TWD...

ANOTHER FRONT ENTERS THE AREA
AS STATIONARY NEAR 32N55W SW TO 27N68W...THEN CONTINUES AS A
TROUGH TO THE WINDWARD PASSAGE. GFS CONTINUES TO SUGGEST A WEAK
AREA OF LOW PRES WILL DEVELOP ALONG THIS BOUNDARY THROUGH LATER
TODAY AND MOVE NE OF THE AREA BY LATE THU.

... the GFS is calling for a low to form. We all know how iffy the subtropics are. Worth watching?

Might as well.

18z sfc an. has a weak low near the Bahamas. It's not related to the above blob though.

Not sure what to make of that.

Very high wind shear and moving north over cooler water. European develops a low, too - a frontal low near 45N. If a low does form, it certainly won't be tropical.

I agree, but we wouldn't be Storm2k if we ignored it right?
