Hilarious; this thing was almost certainly dead six hours before that report came out, ETT or no ETT.

JMA is always slow when it comes to weakening/disappating storms, especially those out in the middle of nowhere . . . regardless, it's long gone now.

JMA likes to wait until it's really certain that a storm's fully XT (hence "developed low" or "developing low"), compared to JTWC which usually stops when still-tropical systems start to/are in the middle of transition.

I'm even surprised JTWC issued final advisory so late... although it was kind of hanging on to characteristics, I suppose, it really wasn't that tropical at all. But they're the experts, not me, and without them, I probably wouldn't have any reports to complain about , so I suppose I'm fine. Bye-bye Tapah!
