Good fenceline tree!!!

#1 Postby Lindaloo » Tue Jul 01, 2003 4:49 pm

Does anyone know a good fenceline tree? JQ helped me with a tree that I was looking for (Leyland Cypress) but they are too darn expensive and I would have to go to Atlanta to purchase them. A big NO to the Lombardy Poplar too because the roots attach to anything and I do not think my pool would like that too much.

Any suggestions?

We planted Arizona Cypress across the front of our yard 3 years ago. They were in 3 gallon buckets. Now they're over 8 feet tall and 4-5 feet wide. They say they should grow 3 feet up and 3 feet out every year, but they've out done themselves, even with the drought. They are fluffier than the Leylands. They weren't very expensive in that small size. We also put out Viburnum. They are a flowering shrub that gets 10 feet tall and 15 feet wide. They've done well through the drought too.
