Early season heat in Victoria, Australia.

#1 Postby §ab » Sat Nov 17, 2007 7:10 pm

A long lasting heatwave across most of the Australian state of Victoria will peak on Monday. Across the northern half of the state, temps have exceeded 30ºC 8 days in a row, with the last 5 above 35ºC.

Mildura is expected to reach 41ºC on Monday and Melbourne 37ºC.

Melbourne has suffered through a cold November though, with nothing above 27ºC until yesterday. Melbourne has missed out on virtually all the heat due to constant seabreezes and San Diego-like marine layers in the morning. On Wednesday, a cold front will bring severly below average temps again, with 19C forecast for Melbourne. :froze: Temps begin to rise next Friday with 28ºC in Melbourne and 35ºC in Mildura.
