It was a interesting Atlantic Basin season despìte the many weak sheared storms that managed to form.14 is a above normal season in terms of named storms,6 hurricanes (6 Based on probable upgrade to hurricane of Karen in cyclone report) and 2 majors is the average number.Definitly Dean and Felix were the biggest headliners of the season, with Noel,Humberto and Erin the best of the rest.

Sidenote=The 2007 storm2k annual forecast poll will be posted in the forum on November 30th for the members who will want to know how many did get very close to the 14/6/2 numbers. I can only say that there are two frontrunners. :)

Now lets wait for the 2008 season and see what it will bring.By the way, here is the countdown towards June 1. :) Prepare for the annual forecast poll that will start on April 15.

Countdown towards June 1,2008

I should start coming up with the Hurricane Awards, (Most Outstanding Hurricane, Most Outstanding Tropical Storm, Strangest Storm, Biggest Dud, etc.)

I do it every November. :cheesy:

It has to be Hemisphere-wide, the entire northern hemisphere.

You know what? Good bye, and good riddance, with your category fives and what not! Dare you come to us again and we shall give you a good whipping, you horrible season! Alas, can you not give use excitement without the death of hundreds? And when we are not upset with the tolls of your storms, must we endure the utter boredom of your failings? Why, season, oh, why have you treated us so; how can ones as innocent and simple-minded as us sin to the point at which you cannot stand us so? It is for shame that this must happen, and we turn our back to you and face the next in line for judgment. Hopefully they will be much an improvement on you!

Fairly certain the official end is midnight Eastern, Pacific, and Hawaiian times, and not UTC.

Should end on 0000 UTC, no way my parents are going to let me use the computer that late (even if I could stay up, my Dad is obsessive with the computer). :(
