Dallas suburb Bans Cell Phones in School Zones

#1 Postby TexasStooge » Wed Dec 05, 2007 8:40 am

Highland Park is now banning drivers from using cell phones in school zones. The ban has been in effect since December 1st to reduce accidents nearby schools, especially with children. University Park is considering the same thing.

More info on cell phone ban here

You know, it's not a bad idea, now to get my hometown of Irving to do the same thing.

We have a major problem with that up here. I think there should be a law against having a phone conversation for more than three or so minutes while driving. Unfortunately, that would be hard to prove, but most phones do have a conversation history.
