Re: Fact789's -Weather, School Update, & Universal Plans (11/20)

I've decided to write early...

This week has been a big week. Sunday I started doing Christmas stuff, while watching the weather. Monday-yesterday- I Turned in on the two big reports due for Macro Economics. Today was a boring day in college, but was quite interesting at the HS. After the interact meeting, I talked and talked and help the teacher grade papers, and watched the afternoon 2-yo's beat each other up. lol Not really, but they were obnoxious and I had to yell a few times and they were 16-19. I also got to see one of my best friends that I haven't seen in a while. Then I came home and ate three chicken patty sandwiches, some mac&cheese, and a bowl of cereal. Then I went to k-mart and Walgreen's and got an angel and another deer. By the end of putting all this stuff up, my house will be visible from space if you cant already. That brings me to where I am now.

Tomorrow is a big TV night. Im looking forward to THREE shows at the same time. Shrek the Halls, Christmas in Rockefeller Center, and the YouTube Debate from right here in St. Pete. I decided that Im not gonna go to the Debate because of the horrible traffic. Traffic started getting bad yesterday with all the people coming down. I gotta finish the last Comp paper for Thursday. Thursday is gonna be a down day. Friday is another day for the HS. I'm gonna pay for the yearbook (maybe) Grad Bash, and I will be getting my t-shirt and hoodie. I will also be recycling for the school that day. I have the SAT on Saturday. I gotta start studying for a test too. Thats my week.

Weather
ITS TOO HOT!!! its too dry too. Sarasota and Manatee county now have 100 days worth of water left. those counties are just south of me.

Two weeks left-3 meetings each class- and then exams left....YAY!!!

I got back from the SAT a little while ago. I think I did about the same as I did last time or a little better (cannot be worse). So my goal this time is a 1030-1100. Scores come out Dec. 20th.

Time for an update:

Lots of school stuff to talk about. Yesterday and today are the two days that grades come in before exams. So far I have 4 A's and 1 B. The three classes for today are educated guesses. The only thing keeping me from straight A's is a darn Composition Paper. A bad professor with a bad topic. Ive exempted one exam already, expecting to exempt another one today. Next week is exam week. I cant wait for this semester to be over.

Weather has been good the last two days. I had a low of 44.5 yesterday night. In the upper 50's right now. No rain what so ever.

Thanks Tropicana. I may over Christmas Break submit a newspaper article about the journey through college. I've always wanted to get an article in the newspaper. I always like to share my stories, so Ill just put the two together. Just gotta make time to do it.

Thats not why I decided to add another update for today though. Today has been a latidah (sp) day. As you know I have been writing a paper. Well, I got to comp today and showed the doof my paper. He liked it better than the other one after 3 drafts and a final. He had me change one or two things, so I went to the computer commons and made the changes. I turned it in by the end of the block. Then I went to College algebra to find out that I had not even seen 2 questions on the last math test!!!! Oh well, I got a 92 on it anyway. I also found out that I exempted that exam, so I walked out and that is where I am now, again in the computer commons.

I dont know why I like writing so much today, but heres some more of my day :D

On my way from the computer commons, I got a prank call. Now I love prank calls and I always play along. I talked to the prankster for a full 3 mins lol. Then I got to Macro economics, where we were going to get test scores back. The first 20 mins of class 6 of us in the class just talked without listening to a word the professor was saying. I knew the grade was going to be bad....it turned out to be a 22/30 :( Any other day, I would probably be upset...but today I didnt care in the least. I still have an A in the class. In fact, I have all of my pre-exam grades calculated:

American Government: 94.6 (A)...Exam Exempt (Final Grade)
Earth Science: not sure what percent (A+)....(Final Grade)
Composition 1: 90.6(A-) (Final Grade)
College Algebra: 94.2 (A)...Exam Exempt (Final Grade)
Macroeconomics: 92.5 (A)

Overall I have a 3.8208 composite GPA/3.8 true GPA.

Then I came home and at Checkers, and now I am going to Wally World.

My day today was pretty good. I studied at SPC today with some friends and then took the rest of the day off. I was thinking about the things I had done in 2007, its completely astonishing now that I think about it.

The weather is too darn hot, cant it be 50 in december please? All I want for christmas is my two days, weeks if you please of 30's.

Tomorrow I have the ACT to take. I'm pretty confident with it. wish me good luck, although I probably wont need it. Exams next week are worrying a bit, but im not usually a person to worry. Im quite worries about that darn paper though. I have to get at least an A- on it to get the A in the class. I've been on a mental high for the last few days, hoping to keep it going. I think my theme for 2008 will be up and away or ever growing, something to that effect.

Thats all my thoughts for right now, peace!

Just got home from the ACT. The longer the test the worst it got. English was great, math was ok, Science of all things was horrible, and then writing was ok.

Science was horrible because I dont think you had to know what a homo sapien was to answer the questions. There was one knowledge question on the whole part. It was all graphs and theories. Ick!

Scores come in around the 20th of this month.

Just got home from my ESC exam. I think I did pretty well. I had get a 70 on my exam to keep my A, I think I did that! I even got the plan to give him a professor critique without him reading it while I was there to work. I gave it to him is a Christmas Card on the way out :P

Edit: in that critique I slipped in a P.S. with an invite to S2k.

I think I am going to do a full advisory tonight on 94L. Here are my thoughts on track and intensity.

Track: Right now I think that 94L will travel generally 245-290° until it interacts with the High Pressure more, I think it will travel SW. Generally North of PR, through HP, and S of Cuba. Where it goes after that is too hard to tell, could be from Central America to the Gulf.

Intensity will remain low, no more than 50 mph, unless it does an Epsilon. Land interaction and shear will keep intensity down.

Re: Fact789's -STS OLGA

#120 Postby JonathanBelles » Mon Dec 10, 2007 11:10 pm

The following post is NOT an official forecast and should not be used as such. It is just the opinion of the poster and may or may not be backed by sound meteorological data. It is NOT endorsed by any professional institution including storm2k.org For Official Information please refer to the NHC and NWS products.

Advisory 12102007

Subtropical Storm Olga has formed east of San Juan, PR.

>>>>no graphic at this time

There is a Tropical Storm Warning for the Northern coast of the Dominican Republic. Also there is a TS watch for the SE coast of the DR. Those in this area and in PR/USVI should expect very heavy rains and flash flooding.

Near PR....STS Olga...This is under primary serious advisory mode. Olga is very slowly gaining strength, but it will not gain much. It is gaining tropical characteristics; however, the temperature profile does not match. Shear will be picking up, and water temperatures are marginal. Water temps should warm in Olga's path, if there is anything left. Winds will not surpass 45mph, if they reach that.

Olga is bound to make landfall in Hispaniola. Olga should move north of PR, then S of DR, and near Jamaica if there is anything left. Rain will be the biggest threat with this system. Past Jamaica, I expect the Ridge over the SEUS to begin breaking down. Depending on Olga's strength and when the High breaks down is how much and when Olga will curve to the north. At this time, I do not expect ANY curve to the north, this is just a possibility. Central America is most likely the greatest likelyhood.

Just a note: I believe the ridge is not as strong as forecast.
