Sigh...

If it's on Fox News and it's about NBC, it's NOT TRUE!

The ad in question was thanking troops and also promoted a conservative group's website at the end, which is against network policy.

What Fox won't tell you is that the network itself has ads that support the troops and is also running those "message home" ads during the holiday season.

I don't trust Fox News anyway, about anything.

For that matter I don't trust any network, newspaper, or anything.

There is a saying in Spanish that says "believe only half of what you see, and nothing of what you hear."

From Drudge:

*Under pressure from outraged viewers, NBC has reversed its decision not to air the Freedom's Watch ads thanking troops... Developing...

I couldn't agree more. About all one can do is seek as many independent sources as possible and maintain a healthy skepticism about all of them.

:uarrow: I just read the headlines and the first paragraph before they explain it. The biased part usually stays later on in the article.

As for local news, Fox seems to cover that well (and, for some bizarre reason, does it with a certain liberal vigor).

Faux News is an anomaly and makes no sense any way you try to break it down.

I happen to like Fox News. At least they present both views. Something the others simply will not.

There is really nothing worth watching in NBC anyways. Washington Post reported it as well. I too like FOX News, however, I get my news from Drudge Report.

Really? Show me a case where that actually happens without the non-conservative view being railroaded and backed into a corner, and I will give you a cookie.

The facts are that nobody will present both sides of the issue all the time (or most of the time, for that matter), and that people who believe in the side of the issue being presented will firmly believe that both sides are being presented. Watch all the major news networks on alternating nights to try and get the best view of things. Also, there are some fairly unbiased programs like "The News Hour with Jim Lehrer."
