Core - I am not going to argue with you. Unless you are extreme left or extreme right they present a fairly balanced view compared to other stations. i would like to see you watch it for at least 24 hours - all programs and then tell me that.

There's a lot more to Fox News than politics, and I have trouble with a lot of the things.

1) They take up way too much time with stories of abducted white girls. How they pick which ones are newsworthy is beyond me. But I can't find anything other than "level of likely perceived attractiveness to the average FNC viewer."

2) They are OBSESSED with sex. They constantly have people on talking about how damaging sexual images are to children, all the while they're flashing images of nearly naked people in very suggestive situations. Some interviews have also turned uncomfortably sexual (namely on The O'Reilly Factor). They also try to put sex into a story where it doesn't belong. Once they were running a story about a 14 year old who killed her parents and ran off with her 18 year old boyfriend. So the two suspects are guilty of murder and fleeing police across state lines. The Fox anchors spent an ENTIRE segment discussing the possibility to statutory rape in the case, since the girl is 14.

3) They are often late/wrong with breaking news. During any breaking event, you'll often see one network report something first while the others follow behind. I notice Fox is very often last with latest developments and that a large number of the ones they do get first are incorrect.

4) Too much "lighter side of the news" in times when there are major stories happening. When a big story is happening, I want to be able to get the story.

5) The evening entertainment programs take themselves too seriously. The 8-11PM block is treated way too much like hard hitting news. It isn't. It's entertainment. At least the other networks make light of their prime time programming and don't try to seriously act like something inspired is happening during those hours.

6) This is the biggest one to me. They have reported far too many stories that they knew to be outright lies. Take the one in the OP in this thread, for example.

All news sources are biased, and Fox is clearly so. It has significant problems, although - as I have stated previously - the local coverage is by far the best.

FOX News is owned by News Corp. which is headed by Rupert Murdoch, who only does it for making money.

That's true. They often get their news source from AP and Reuters.
