US minorities don't trust each other
I can attest to that as a Korean. I see a lot of prejudice in the Korean community. As a Korean, a first generation American, I see a lot of prejudice in the Korean community. Not all of Koreans of course. They seem to harbor prejudice towards Blacks, Hispanics, and even half Koreans. It is quite appalling for me personally and never ceases to amaze me. Funny things, I get a long with everyone fine regardless of race. It's more to do with personality. I hate jerks and stupid people. And yes, most of my friends are Whites and I have a few Asian, Blacks, and Hispanics friends. Hell, when I was in college, I was usually the only lone Asian there, especially at frat parties. I can never self segregate myself. Just not me.

I've seen this sort of thing firsthand. I'm mostly Korean (and identify myself as such) but am multiracial; as a result I get a lot of interesting remarks from people who don't know what I am and think I'm something I'm not. I get racial slurs or random phrases in Spanish tossed at me by black people who think I'm Hispanic, and some Asians (particularly Chinese) don't accept me as Asian, and white people don't know what I am, so they make assumptions.
Hostility among various ethnic and racial groups (and even within them) is something I'll never understand. I'm me, my friends and most people who aren't in the above categories understand that.

I didn't know you're part Korean. Interesting.
