Bad news...

#1 Postby azsnowman » Sat Dec 22, 2007 10:15 am

I've got some BAD news

I forgot to bring the Brass Monkey inside last night and now...it's a female Brass Monkey :froze: :ggreen:

It's currently 9° with a N-NW breeze of 17 mph, gusting to 24 mph!

AND...the Christmas Eve, Christmas Day snow is STILL on!

http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/fgz

For Sunday and the coming week...a series of weather disturbances
will push across northern Arizona. This will bring periods of colder
temperatures and breezes. There will also be a slight chance of snow
showers...mainly from the Mogollon Rim northward. The best chance
for seeing snow showers will be Sunday into Sunday night...Monday
night into Christmas day...and Wednesday night into Thursday. High
temperatures through this period at elevations above 6000 feet will
generally be in the 30s...below 6000 feet generally in the 40s.

LOL!

I knew this would confuse someone from the warmer climates! :ggreen:

The bad news was, as the old mountain saying goes...."It's so cold it would freeze the *male parts* off a Brass Monkey!" :ggreen: I forgot to bring the *imaginary* brass monkey that night, the low that night was 9° with a sub zero windchill :cold: so yeah, it was COLD!

That is pretty darn cold buddy!

I'm just glad that YOU weren't outside instead of that brass monkey!

I'm glad to see that you're getting a nice head start on the snow this season. I hope it continues.
