WGA will stay on strike until April. The SAG, while agreeing to an agreement similar to the WGA agreement, will go on strike for a week just for the principle of the matter (DGA will settle quickly). Television viewing levels at the big four will never recover from any of the strikes.

8) A major heat wave will affect the megalopolis of Washington DC - Boston during July. Blackouts can happen.

A few more:

9) More jail time will be doled out to big name athletes due to the steriod abuse investigations, especially now that Marion Jones has been sentenced.
10) The US-Mexican border fence will not go through as planned due to cost issues. More patrols will be setup instead.
11) Amnesty to illegal immigrants now in the country will be granted ONLY IF they register with US Immigration within a specified time period.
12) The Atlantic City casino industry will see a year of flat or slightly negative revenue growth due once again to competition to surrounding slot parlors and the economy.

I've got more!

These are just, literally, the first things that come to my mind, no thought put into it, nothing. If any of this comes true, then I'm psychic.

*looks at crystal ball*

-I see a heavy-set, famous woman having an emotional breakdown on national TV, but instead of making fun of her, America will be more-or-less supportive and sympathetic.

-I see a disaster in southern Georgia or northern Florida. Possibly A fire. Let's hope I'm wrong.

-Something more specific, the Super-Bowl Halftime show. The music will stop, and the audience will sing at least one chorus of Free Fallin' in the middle of the song, before the music starts again, and Tom Petty takes over again.

-A wind record will be set this year, from either a tornado, a tropical cyclone, or another wind force, either way, a wind record will be broken.

*comes out of trance*

Okay there are my pure-psychic predictions, if they all come true, you can see my show in Vegas in January, 2009. The Amazing Psychlone1!!
