I'll be comfortably watching the fireworks display from my bedroom window; the Veteran's Park is 2 miles due east, which gives me a bird's eye view of "the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air"! Have to watch the Nannerbelle (she BE a ho'); she wants to go "attack" those nasty lights!

Probably no BBQ; more than likely, some frozen pre-fab "mystery meat" entree and the inevitable salad with RAUNCH dressing...(yuck!).

Anyway, let's not forget WHY we celebrate this day; the "Great Experiment" is ongoing, and may God bless our Constitutional Republic and each and everyone of "We, the People"! :D

My grill will definatly be smokin from the mesquite coals and the smell of fresh ribeyes and burgers will linger through the air, filling the neighbor hood with the the aroma of freedom. INDEPENDENCE DAY!!! Hoping everyone here has a safe and happy holiday weekend :usa :usa :usa

I'll be deep fryin' that turkey and have other delectible treats on the grill.....YumYum. thanks for the reminder to us all Bill, sometimes we take all that we have for granted, but lets not forget those who made real sacrifices for us to be able to celebrate this day.

Would that be before, or after sewing up ghastly garments for the kids to scare the bejeezus out of each other? :?:

Streetsoldier...you'll find those ghastly garments in the same corner of the basement or closet. You might just as well get them all out at the same time.

BTW, here's my favorite 4th of July link again. Enjoy, but cover your ears!!!!

Happy 4th from me too everyone, I am looking forward to sitting by the pool this weekend. Half of my family (hubby and son) on their way to Tennessee but my daughter and I stayed home, she is playing softball with a city Allstar Team and didn't want to leave so Mom stayed with her, so pool in the daytime and softball at night lol
