I have officially out-hyped Joe Bastardi!

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

From "when will 90L be declared" thread

Ed Mahmoud wrote:Yurpian model seems to be suggesting a sub-tropical system may try to form in 8 or 9 days South of Bermuda, but it doesn't close off a surface low.

I'm sticking with June.

That was 2 days ago, now.

Heh, JB is on that sub-tropical cyclone kick now but I had him beat by several days. I still say that will not be declared an invest. But I reserve the right to change my mind.

6) Subtropical cyclone may develop north of Puerto Rico this weekend and move west for a while.

There is a nice low level swirl in there...

That is why I am sticking with an early June invest North of the Bahamas.

But I did mention ECMWF lowering pressures and bending the isobars before JB mentioned it.

If I was really going to hype it, I'd claim I though a rare January hurricane would hit the Bahamas than Florida.

But I'll leave that to Tampa Bay Hurricane or EWG. :cheesy:

o_O

JB was incredibly accurate with Olga, maybe just a fluke, but I still have a lot of respect for him. I won't write it off.
