How often does Eastern Florida get snow? Just wondering as it seem rather a rare event.

It has snowed on the east coast of Florida in 2003 (Jan 24 2003) during a similar Arctic airmass.
Nothing measurable.

There was also snow flurries , mixed with rain, in Orange, Lake, Seminole and Volusia counties in the evening of Tue Nov 21 2006. it was Florida's first November snowfall since Nov 27-28 1912, that snow fell in Tallahassee.

Prior to all of this, that I know of was during the Christmas freeze of 1989.
I'm sure there are a bunch of other instances.
Just last year, rare snow fell in downtown Tallahassee around 130pm Sat Feb 3 2007, with temps of around 40F..it was just a trace. Tallahassee has seen snow 32 times since 1891. Only trace amounts fell on all but 7 of these occasions. The last measurable snowfall in Tallahassee was Dec 22-23 1989 when 1 inch fell.
