I remember it like it was just yesterday. I lived in Philly at the time. We got 30.7", a record that still stands by far.

I remember that one too. I was up in the mountains of VA near Charlottesville in a remote cabin with some friends. We were stranded until Tuesday when we were able to finally hike 3 miles to the nearest plowed road. We had to leave our vehicles at the cabin until 2 weeks later when rains washed all of the snow away.

I remember that one! I had to walk to my mom's house to dig her out, a 2 mile walk that used to take about 40 minutes took almost 3 hours! It was tough!

I remember that one. I skiied to the grocery store accross the border into Connecticut for orange juice (only about 1 1/2 miles or 3 miles round trip).

I also remember a harrowing drive, during the storm, back home from New York City. When we left (to look at a hospital for my wife to give birth in) there were a few dainty flakes coming down. By the time we got to the city (heading south into the storm), there was a nice, post-card type snow falling. The drive took 45 minutes.

When we left, the snow was coming down at a rate as if it were coming out of a hose. THe drive back took well over 2 hours.
