There's another similar looking feature north of Hawaii.

Hehehe... Now that I think about it, the initial CMC model at first post of this thread also had something north of Hawaii, although not tropical. An interesting coincidence; nothing of note.

Interesting that it gets an invest tag right before the models say it's going to go away. It did look mighty tropical this morning, albeit weak.

Well, again it hasn't technically been tagged yet. When (If) it is tagged, it will be 90L and this thread will be locked.

I think invest in this case is area of interest and not an actual invest. Who knows.

I do know I'm not 'sad' about it.

Technically, an NRL INVEST classification reflects the abbreviation for "area of interest".

This thread is still alive?

I guess by not mentioning a basin in the thread title, it could live forever...

It's almost done. Tomorrow the new ET low will absorb this one and we can start looking for another swirl to talk about. :)

Ok, how about area of curiosity.

So, there is something wrong with people watching an interesting area of low pressure out in the Central Atlantic and wondering if it has any chances at all to develop? Granted, it is out of season, but what is wrong with people doing what they love?

Just my opinion...

Some people just have programs in their lifes, so they have to knock other people that have a different options from the nhc or their expert selfs. As far as I'm concerned they can talk to a wall.

Don't tell millions this morning about the models - the same models were forecasting a major northeast snowstorm for several days, but, all most big cities received was light rain and temps well above freezing...

I am with you.
It is the off-season so a little model and swirl watching causes no harm and keeps a little conversation going.
Enjoy!!

That was what I was wondering. But if you start hard enough, something has to look interesting.
