Rain changed to snow at about 2:30 here, temp dropped quickly from 42.4 to 34.2. Snow steady, but not accumulating yet.

The snow here in SE NC has been a real bust. The heavy Moisture is pulling out and we continue to have rain. The set up was there, just not enough cold air to make it happen. Last night I really thought we would have a nice snow of 6" to 9". Oh well, hate to miss when we were so close......

40 here on the coast. The mets said we topped out around 11:30 and the temps "should start falling". Ugh...They kept rising until about 3 or so, then steadied out until maybe 6 or 7. They rose from about 40 (11:30ish) to 43 or 44, chilled there for quite a while, and finally started falling. Some areas that were supposed to change around 4 still are reporting rain. We were supposed to start mixing in around 7 pm...the temp is just chilling now, so I can pretty much hang any snow up. -sigh-

Was looking forward to maybe an inch, but now it looks like we wont see any snow at all...

It's been hovering around 33 here in the eastern portion of the piedmont since 3 or 4 PM. The temp got up to 43 then it dropped to 35 in 20 minutes.

I think we have about 1" of snow on the ground right now which is disappointing considering the news stations around here called for at least 3-4". Oh well maybe another time... *sigh*

Woohoo! 36.6 degrees and falling. Just received some sleet, too...the cold air came too little too late, as usual.

Don't feel bad Brunota, I went to the mountains this past weekend and only ended up 1/2 inch of snow. But boy was it cold. Woke up sunday morning to 4*F. I was camping out to. :cold: :cold:

Wow, sounds like you had a pretty "fun" time. Mmm...It did finally switch over to snow around 2 am or so, but it was just a light snow and there were no accumulations. There was enough sleet that it started lightly accumulating on our glass table outside on the back porch.
