Michael Johns definitely stands out(is he professionally trained?). Also the Archuleto with that very pure, strong voice and true innocence(at least to me). If he can stand the pressure and continue to learn from the vocal coaches he should advance far in this competition.

Come on baby, light my fire! Man, I love his voice. I listened to him sing Bohemian Rhapsody several times.

I agree with David about David Archuleto as well. There's 3 David's in the top 24!

Michael Johns probably had the best performance in my opinion. I also liked David Cook.

The judges are brutal this year! And what was wrong with paula last night...stumbling over her words? At least she seems better tonight.

Oh, and i loved last night when ryan didn't acknowlege simon at the end!

LOL, me too.

I'm not into this season much right now. Maybe once they cut out some of the people.

By far the best performance this week was David Archuletta.

Probably the best performance by anyone on that show in several years. Excellent.

The song is amazing. Imagine by John Lennon. Hard to beat that song.

At this point he is the one to beat, which is amazing since he is only 17!! The guys have it all over the girls this year!!!!

I was disappointed with Michael Johns. Seemed the band was playing too loud and you could barely hear him. He's still the best to look at though!

David left Paula nearly in tears, and Simon says he's the one to beat. That's a very, very tough thing to do, and he did it. It was an amazing rendition.

LOS ANGELES - "American Idol" contestant David Hernandez once entertained audiences by removing his clothes instead of singing tunes, a manager at a male strip club in Phoenix told The Associated Press.

That must be true about Phoenix's David Hernandez. It appeared as a story here in Phoenix too.

Since all other Hollywood singers, actors, and actresses live their lives tarnish-free, I'm sure that David's behavior will eliminate his excellent voice from among the contenders.

In fact, it may work in his favor and bring him a whole new storm of attention on TMZ and elsewhere!

I'd laugh if Hollywood wasn't such a mecca for the disfunctional.

Stripper dude sounds good. . . Danny has to go . . . now and Luke . . you butchered Queen and now you butchered Wham! ugh -- bye,bye . . . Michael-- my new favorite, David Archuleta, I think is the TPTB's and judges' favorite . . . David Cook --interesting cover of Lionel Richie's song, I liked it (going to iTunes to buy) .. . .Jason and Chikezie were ok -- not as bad as Danny and Luke. . .

and Simon rules. . . .

Noriega is going home. He actually has a good voice, but he screwed it up this week.

Menard is going home. I've always disliked him.

Archuletta did a great rendetion of Collins

Cook did an excellent rendition of Richie, my favorite performance of the guys this week.

Castro was excellent, mainly because I love that song.

Didnt care for Chikezie much this week

and Hernandez was really good, especially since he stopped growling in his songs.

This is a good year so far

He is an egomaniac kiddie!!!Too bad because he has a good voice. GOTTA GO NOW!!!

Agree

Archuletta did a great rendetion of Collins

He should be in the top 2 at the end if he can stand the pressure. He really doesn't seem to know how to sing a bad note. Truly amazing for a 17 year old!!

Cook did an excellent rendition of Richie, my favorite performance of the guys this week.

He will be in the top near the end, not sure how close to the end though.

Castro was excellent, mainly because I love that song.

He did well and as Simon said he is improving each week. Not sure he truly has the "idol" touch.

Didnt care for Chikezie much this week

Haven't cared forhim any week. He needs to go imo.

and Hernandez was really good, especially since he stopped growling in his songs.

This is a good year so far

The men have it all over the women imo. So far it is better than most years.
