I thought we had a Survivor tonight but I see NCAA games on the TV Guide schedule.

I was looking forward to a new episode....

After a 2 week break, Survivor returns tonight. New episode @ 8 p.m. But another injury happens. This time, fan Erik is hurt during a challenge. I've seen the promos so many times but each time I cringe for him. I just hope he wasn't as injured as they want you to believe! It was a head injury....poor guy!

OK... that was REALLY boring until the final 15 minutes. Erik's injury was way overhyped but after all the other injuries this year I'm happy.

   I didn't think Ami was going to go, but I'm kind of glad she did. Next week is the merge and Eliza tells Jason that can't be the hidden idol because "it's JUST A STICK!" :roflmao:!!!!!!!!!

Erik saved himself! Yeah.....never really liked Ami but I never really disliked her either. So I'm not sorry to see her go. At some point a player like Erik should remain in the game. And the tears Ami let loose - my God, it was just too much! Anyway, now at least Erik's in the game still. And not injured - I agree Brent, that was overhyped. When they implied Jonathan was forced to leave the game I was hoping it was more hype and drama than reality. Do I wish I could swap the two medical concerns - yes! But I can't.....anyway, nice to see Erik wasn't hurt (thought he'd have a cracked rib.....and oh I was wrong, he didn't hit his head...LOL).

Ozzy is really playing like a King in this game. He thinks everything through, hes playing to win.

TV Guide's blog:

After more careful thought and reading a survivor message board, Ami was scary last night - first when holding the machete while thanking Erik and then running off after being voted off. I'm glad she is gone. There was always something about Ami's eyes.......I didn't quite trust her motives and she never seemed really sincere to me (her season before this as well). Look into Ozzy's eyes and you can see the real Ozzy. Same with Eliza, same with James (not much depth but he is a competitor). Same with Parvati - flirtatious but hoping (ha!) to win.....I always looked into Ami's and never realized that she made me uneasy until now. She'll probably cry at the reunion too.

I've gotten quiet board with this season. It started off with great virgor, but now, it just seems boring. Not sure why. Going to be hard to keep my interest in watching the rest of this season. Just have this feeling, now that the merge is here next week, the favorites will probably start picking off the fans one by one now.

Anyone think Ozzy looks like Sal Mineo? Maybe no one remembers him but he was an actor in the 60's and 70's.

Karan - I remember Sal Mineo! Yes, I do see a resemblance. Maybe this is who I was thinking of last night, in several of Ozzy's scenes.....good comparison!

Good to see I wasn't the only one who found Ami talking to Erik with the machete a bit freaky.

Ami was just one of those former players that I never really liked much. I realize now she makes me uncomfortable, as if she's slightly crazy! Erik handled the situation well though, hugging her as if she's still one of his Survivor idols. Good idea Erik! The kid has a brain....and Ami lost hers!

I guess it is hard to watch the core group/alliance click and make decisions together but be on the outs. Ami's tears at Tribal were at times funny to watch and other times, very revealing.

We're currently re-watching All-Stars. Rupert wanted to be tight with Amber (Ambuh) and Rob, then Jenna but in the end Rupert got voted out. There was just no way anyone could have separated Amber and Rob. I still don't understand why they kept Jenna over Rupert though. Jenna's mouth and her voice drove me nuts! If she ever comes back, I will never root for that favorite! But anyway, I guess I'm trying to say I understand Ami's comments but if she really felt that way then she should have made her alliances right away. Not with the fans.

I didn't like her in Vanuatu either. I was SO HAPPY when the girls alliance that season was broken. (If you remember, Chris who won the season was the last guy with about 5 other woman and he was able to turn some of the women against each other and make it to the final two, and then win among a female-dominated jury).

Not sure where to put this so I am borrowing this Survivor thread. Hijacking it of sorts....

We are on our 4th or 5th past Survivor season rentals......LOL Currently wrapping up All-Stars (Romber, ugh....). Anyway, I always say the commentaries are the BEST part of these DVDs but tucked away in the last 7th disc was a mock tribal, put together with Rob M., Amber, etc. - Rob C. plays Jeff Probst, Alicia played Jerri M., and on. It's hilarious! So if anyone rents this season (we use our library to see these past seasons), make sure you see this little extra. You could almost miss it! LOL

Back to Micronesia....

"It's just a stick!"

Even better was Ozzy's response after Eliza tried to play it and Jeff announced it was fake and threw it in the fire "I spent hours making that"

The entire fake idol attempt was hilarious. Especially when Eliza told Jason - I'll be more hated that Fairplay!

Another funny moment was when Eliza pointed out to Alexis that she spoke in past tense, as if Eliza was already voted off but Eliza was still sitting next to her. That was a dumb move - Eliza knew she was going and the rest just followed suit. If they all were smart they would have gotten rid of Alexis (motivational speaker my a**).....LOL

Call me crazy but Eliza was starting to grow on me and annoy me so much less than she used to.

I am beyond sick of Parvati's flirting and laugh. Each time she gives a reason why she's voting a specific way, she then laughs. Has there ever been a more annoying female player than Parvati? I'd take Jerri, Alicia, Shi Ann, over Parvati anyday!

Okay, now 2 favorites have been voted off and 2 fans kept around.

Next week will be interesting. There doesn't seem to be another favorite that was on the outs with their tribe or alliances.
