Today is the first in the string of 80 days, and it looks like they will stay around for quite some time.

Not much chance for rain, but I do see some upper level
vorticity in the gulf of mexico and some
upper level moisture/vorticity off the east coast of fl.
This may enhance a chance for rain over mainly
south florida this weekend.

Looks like two small upper level features in the
aforementioned areas.

Very summer like weather coming this week. 82-87 in this area with a sea breeze almost all day long, with some showers on their way.

They've blown the wind forecast for tonight. "East northeast wind around 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph." The last three hours winds 25, 23, and 22, respectively. Those are sustained winds.

Had some brief moderate rain around 730. Like
a summer shower.

Probably the expected dewpoint they were talking about...although current dewpoints in the low 70s are being reported across the state today

Summer thread for Florida posters already. Sad that y'all don't get four distinct seasons like Texas. I know, frosts can be kind of a bother, and I did have to scrape my windshield before work 5 or 6 times this winter, but Spring is here now in Texas, with brief return visits (like Dallas is having, with temps in the 50s barely cracking 60ºF)) of Old Man Winter, but it is a delightful 80ºF, and the real summer weather won't start until late May or June here.

And come next Christmas season, here in Houston, we can't completely rule out a White Christmas, as was experienced in parts of the Houston area in 2004.

5000 lightning strikes in Central Florida in the last hour. Any of the strong, almost severe cells that form arent moving too much. Very, Very June like.

Very strong cell directly over me in Polk County.

This weather is insane. I almost think I can confirm 1 funnel cloud.

Remember, April fools day ends at 12 noon, not joking.
