The weather forecasters predicted 4 meters with highs waves and strong waves approaching 6 meters today. For information, we're expecting 40 to 50 km/h of sustained winds with strong gusty winds near 80 km/h near the scattered squalls or showers in the area.
For your info today , given by the latest forecast from Meteo-France le Raizet Guadeloupe 02/04/08: the buoy of :
-Puerto Rico (20° N 65W°) was indicated waves at 4m 10 with a sweel from East.
-Caribbean sea (15° N 67°W) 2m90 sweel from East North east.
-Atlantique: Buoy of Guadeloupe: 15,°N 57,9w 2m60 sweel from East.
They predict hours after hours very quickly..waves at 3m50 and 4m meaning as i said thats huge waves will approach 5m50 and near the range of 6m or ligtly higher

So big epidose today for us in Guadeloupe, we keep our fingers crossed, because recently some areas has been suffered from theses huge waves an caused many troubles for the residents of the island ( "Le Moule "especially).
We keep watching this , hope that this will stay at this range of waves and no more!!!



Note that another correspondant from Guadeloupe... Huc... on another site were speaking about this roof sea there's two weeks ago approximately : "very roof sea "....To day,the historic non hurricane related sweel event,the most important since the perfect storm in 1991,arrived in Guadeloupe.
The waves are since yersterday night in the range of 4 to 5 meters,with peaks commonly rising to 7,2 meters!!!!! These are records by the Meteo France buoy located at the north tip of Guadeloupe " La Vigie". (Date: Thu, 20 Mar 2008 18:46:41 -0400) Roads inundated,also houses ,beaches erosion . No injuries at this time. The red alert is always posted. What news elswere??.
