It will be interesting to see how this area of convection holds up as it moves northward.

69 degrees high for Monday in April. My mother will pitch a fit.
.LONG TERM (SATURDAY NIGHT - WEDNESDAY)...BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES
ON TAP FOR MOST OF THE PERIOD. A STRONG COLD FRONT...AT LEAST FOR
APRIL...WILL PUSH THROUGH SUNDAY. STILL NOT LOOKING LIKE MUCH OF A
WET FRONT...BUT A NOTICEABLE CHANGE WILL BE IN ORDER TEMPERATURES-
WISE. A SLOW MOVING UPPER TROUGH WILL BE OVER THE EASTERN HALF OF
THE U.S. AND WILL BRING LOW 1000-500 MB THICKNESSES. NOW HAVE FORECAST
TEMPERATURES 10-15 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL MONDAY THROUGH EARLY WEDNESDAY.
UPPER TROUGH WILL MOVE EAST OF THE REGION ON WEDNESDAY...WITH SURFACE
WINDS BEGINNING TO VEER TO THE EAST...WHICH SHOULD BEGIN A MODERATING
TREND.

Heh.. just for the record I looked at the Accuweather forecast and they're showing a low of 42 for Monday! They also predict a windchill in the low 30's.. thats unprecedented for this time of year.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 70. North northwest wind between 9 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 47.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 66.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 45.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 72.

This is what the afternoon NWS says for me next week. See bolded parts.
The lows are about 3 degrees warmer than what was predicted this morning. I hope that trend continues. I wouldn't mind a low of 50 - but no lower. My orchids are blooming!
