Prominent Muslim cleric advocates raping non-Muslims.

#1 Postby Ed Mahmoud » Tue Apr 01, 2008 9:15 pm

A question-and-answer session with Imam Abdul Makin in an East London mosque asks why Allah would tell Muslims to kill and rape innocent non-Muslims, including their wives and daughters, according to Islam Watch.

"Because non-Muslims are never innocent, they are guilty of denying Allah and his prophet," the Imam says, according to the report. "If you don't believe me, here is the legal authority, the top Muslim lawyer of Britain."

The lawyer, Anjem Choudary, backs up the Imam's position, saying that all Muslims are innocent.

"You are innocent if you are a Muslim," Choudary tells the BBC. "Then you are innocent in the eyes of God. If you are not a Muslim, then you are guilty of not believing in God."

Choudary said he would not condemn a Muslim for any action.

"As a Muslim, I must support my Muslim brothers and sisters," Choudary said. "I must have hatred to everything that is not Muslim."

I saw that. Absolutely evil. And it mentions:
"...Allah would tell Muslims to kill and rape innocent non-Muslims, including their wives and daughters..."

How could ANYONE advocate that towards their neighbors?

It happens all over the world in different forms. In the past Christian's would burn people they suspected as witches (who were obviously not). And here in S.A a government youth leader told black youths to only steal from whites because of how they must not damage their 'brothers' and that the whites deserved it.You will always come across nut jobs in everything, some areas just tend to have a few more of them

Sounds to me like a corruption of historic views on Jews and Christians.

The link above offers pretty good insight into how Islam views other religions.

"Historically, Islamic scholars have agreed that the Qur'an gives "People of the Book" special status, allowing those who live in Muslim lands (called dhimmi—protected people) to practice their own religions and to own property. People of the Book were not subject to certain Islamic rules, such as the prohibitions on alcohol and pork. Under the Islamic state, they were exempt from the draft, but were required to pay a tax known as jizyah, part of which went to charity and part to finance churches and synagogues. (They were, however, exempt from the zakat required of Muslims.) This agreement has in the past led to Islamic countries practicing religious toleration for Christians and Jews, although they were never accorded the full status enjoyed by Muslims."

There are fundamentalists in every religion, culture and group in the world.

This person needs to be strapped to a chair, castrated with a fishing knife, and raped over and over again, then have his arms and legs cut off with a dull hacksaw. Then leave them bleeding on the chair and enhance their torture by making them watch American Idol.

Yeah. That's just messed up. Sick all I can say. No one points out that racism is a big problem in the Muslim world. Arabs, Turkish, and Persians show a lot of animosity towards each other.

Rape is ALWAYS wrong, regardless of who is being raped, says a lot about the "cleric" in question, or anyone else, that would advocate such a thing.

That's good. Anyone who is interested should read up on Saladin, the moslem leader during the 3rd crusade. He was quite a gentleman. He extended courtesies, released captives, and showed the utmost respect towards his opponents. The crusaders were led by Richard of the Lion Heart, who was also a gentleman. The two of them went round and round, fighting, then praising each other and keeping their pledges to each other. During periods of peace the moslems allowed christian pilgrims free passage to the holy lands. Richard came down ill and Saladin sent his personal physician to treat him. It's quite amazing. Overall through the crusades, it seems that the christians proved to be more barbarous than the moslems who controlled Egypt and parts of Palestine at various times. You could usually count on the moslems to keep their pledge. In many cases, the pledges given by christians were worthless. Both sides committed massacres. Overall the moslems proved to be more gracious and refined. The turks were more barbarous though.

Once you gain some understanding, you can't let some nut cases on either side represent the entire population.

Interesting perspective, coriolis.

Another interesting fact to note is the relative ages of Christianity and Islam. Islam is about 600 years "newer" than Christianity. When you look at what Christians were doing in the name of the church 600-1000 years ago, it seems eerily similar to what the Muslims are going through now. Are all religions predestined to go through a stage of barbarism before eventually settling into relative harmlessness?

That's an interesting thought as well. I don't know.
