Ghosts Attack Police Station (CNN Video)
FINALLY a nice ghost story makes it to CNN:
http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/us/200 ... ation.wpxi
There was one a few months ago with a blue "ghost" at a gas
station caught on video and on CNN.
I hope CNN does more Ghost Stories- just because it is SO AWESOME!!!

When a new friend visits my house, I have great fun mentioning that my house is "haunted" - specifically the kitchen. I "warn" them that the door to the garage will often swing open on its own, the same with the kitchen cabinets. Usually, within the first hour or so of their visit ... it will happen.
Anyone know how I can get CNN to come film my kitchen???
That being said....I've lived in this house for 40 years. The kitchen has settled a bit and when the air conditioning kicks on it creates just enough of a breeze to tug at my garage door and cabinets ( with their 40 year old latches) and gravity and wind causes them to open. I could fix the latches, but where would the fun be in that?
I also get really cool shadow figures just outside my patio window. When the weather is right and you catch a sideways glance - your imagination can "see" all sorts of things. ( The cause is just the right combination of my sprinkler system, my dryer vent and the patio light.)
The effect, however, is quite amusing to newbies ....
No such thing as ghosts.

Dizzy, to "fix" them you need to have 6 people open and close the cabinets about 10 times a day for 30 to 40 years. LOL
Building the house on good old soft Florida sand helps too
The one over the dishwasher will often slip and open even if someone walks heavily through the kitchen or a large truck drives by and rattles the exterior wall. It moves very very slowly .....and creaks at the same time....just like a classic horror flick.
All I need to do to stop it is a) give the door a little heavier push when I shut it or b) go to Home Depot and buy a new catch....but we all think it is an amusing "quirk" of the house... so leave it alone.

Ghosts and other such apparitions simply do not exist. Never have, never will. Everyone's got a million stories but no one has even the slightest piece of solid, convincing evidence. If it's not a deliberate hoax you can bet it's an overactive imagination.

At night when my husband was working the midnight shift, lying in bed not asleep, I felt someone or something sit down on the edge of the bed. Turned on the light on the headboard and looked to see if it was my grandson but nothing or no one was there. The bed actually moved and the mattress depressed like some one has sat down on it. My husband has felt the same thing at times when he goes to bed before I do(I stay up and knit sometimes).

Well at least I have the good old soft Florida sand part down.

Wonder what hubby will say when I'm standing in the kitchen tonight just opening and closing the cabinet doors? LOL

Now THAT would freak me out!
Dizzyfish, the first time it happened it did scare me. But over the years I have gotten used to it and when it happens I say" would you quit shaking the bed, I am trying to sleep here" and it stops.

You are sadly wrong. I have personally had experiences and although I cannot produce said evidence, they were real experiences.

As far as the police station is concerned, someone is good at getting nothing on the news!

I'm a science person that believes in facts and over beliefs. Nonetheless, I'm also a very open person that although doesn't believe in ghosts, it wouldn't be a surprise if they really exists. If feel there's a lot that we still don't but decide to ignore!!
