Re: Rules for Hurricane Tracking
Based off rule 52.
64. The CMC sucks too.
65. Did I mention the GFS already?

I might make that rule #1.
24. A break in convection in the middle of an invest does not qualify as an eye.
Or an eyewall for that matter!!

Newbies should read more and post less. You might learn something.

66. That system off the east coast is not tropical, it won't become tropical, and it never had a chance. Stop trusting lousy or experimental models.

70. for the 12,384,436,323,584,583,466,221,218,924th time, and it can't be stated enough. Don't jump for joy when the GFS shows something in 2 weeks.
71. Don't even read IMD's bulletins, you're better off estimating the intensity yourself.
72. The little poorly drawn map you made in paint is NOT a computer model. (Only chat guys will get this one)
73. A formula for Cape Verde Waves in May. "Going poof in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1....."
74. Please stop taking this rule so literally.

At least, I think that's how it goes...

75: A better formula...
Clouds + water = Nothing
Clouds + warm water = Nothing
Swirl = Nothing
LLC + Nothing = Nothing
Anything - LLC = Nothing
Everything + 40N = Nothing
Everything + 5N = Nothing
Throw in that only the CMC and the 193 day GFS predict anything out of it.
76. No, that swirl over Lake Michigan will NOT be Invest 90L.

Was that a shot at me?

77. The CMC couldn't predict yesterday.
78. The LBAR was created by Ms. Cleo.

unless combined to produce the worlds greatest hurricane prediction model that allows you to avoid those strong winds, warn your grandmother not to bake a cake today and keep your underarms and legs silky smooth.
