Re: "Lost" Thread-part 3
“Lost” executive producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof let loose some major spoilers for the remainder of the show’s fourth season, which will continue with new episodes on April 24. Here are just a few things fans can expect:
# The battle between Jack, played by Matthew Fox and Locke (Emmy winner Terry O’Quinn) will come to a head in the season finale.
# More will be seen of the mysterious Smoke Monster.
# Viewers learn the fate of Claire, portrayed by actress Emilie de Ravin.
# What really happened to Rousseau (Babylon 5’s Mira Furlan) and Karl (Blake Bashoff) after they were shot and left for dead? Fans will finally find out.
# Some of the mystery surrounding the four-toed statue is revealed.
# And, Jacob returns to the picture as a central, albeit nebulous character.

Oooooooohhhhh...... I can't wait! Only 3 more days! I have never anticipated a tv show like I do this one. I usually avoid spoilers, but those were good, Miss Mary. They didn't give away too much, just suck you in like Doc Jensen's mild spoilers do in his articles.
I like the new time slot as well. It gives me another entire hour to get things done so hopefully I can sit and watch it when it comes on. I often have to watch it on DVR because that time of the night (prime time tv) is so busy for me. It takes a lot of effort and planning just to watch a tv show... well, one that I refuse to miss even one word while watching.
Thank goodness for DVR where I can rewind live TV.
Come on, Thursday!

I saw a preview for it last Thursday (was over at a friend's house). Showed Sawyer running down a picket fence line (white fence behind? the Otherville buildings), pistol in hand. Then as he was running, the fence right behind him was getting torn up. Looked like automatic weapon fire, machine gun possibly?

A Lost addiction? I wonder if I'm addicted to Lost.....wait, of course I am! We start our Thursdays with first run Lost episodes with one word - Lost. And we say it in a hushed way (my daughter and I do, hubby just meanwhile puts up with hysteria.....).....LOL!
Her fave is Charlie (who I remain skeptical he's really dead, I know, I know I'm the only one on the planet who thinks this).
And my fave is Jack, of course! I share this opinion with several here Amanzi - southerngale and sunny, for two......oh heart be still I like to say! Kate's my second fave.....
Anyway, here are 3 Lost treats for fans.....TV Guide interviews/articles:

Sawyer a moron? He saved Claire!
So I don't know about that.....I will reluctantly agree that Ben is one of "good guys" but that is a loose term. His definition of good and mine are very different. Jack is my definition of a good guy!
Anyway, good episode. Huge smoke monster - times a hundred!
Two normal, everyday observations surprised our Losties - the phone ringing and the doorbell. I joked - what next, pizza delivery? Great comic relief there...

Ben... one of the good guys?
He probably killed Nadia to give Sayid motivation to work (kill) for him. You see that smirk as he walked away from Sayid?
I will admit... I shed a tear for dear sweet Alex.
She's been helping our Losties since Season 1.
In the beginning of the show, when Hurley said, "Australia is the key to the whole game." hmmm - clue?
Sawyer isn't a moron. He doesn't want to die, but he had the guts to save Claire. Go him!
I'm wondering why Ben told Charles Widmore at the end that Charles knew Ben couldn't kill him. I don't think they were implying he's immortal because Charles did ask when he saw Ben, "Are you here to kill me?" But then again, he didn't exactly look worried. hmmm
My head is spinning... a common occurrence after watching LOST. I love it though!

I know, how could I forget to mention Alex. Can't believe she is gone.
Could someone please explain what Ben meant when he said they changed the rules. He said it after the freighter captain shot Alex and also to Whidmore (flash forward).
As soon as he said it the first time, I wondered if at one time Ben was on Whidmore's side? But the two of them (Jacob also) had a falling out - a difference of opinion on how the island should be used - and now they're enemies.
I'm probably off base with this hunch but something in the way Ben acted, he was just a little too comfortable talking with his arch nemesis (Whidmore). I just had this feeling that at one time Ben and Whidmore were on the same side. In the past, long before Oceanic 815 crashed.
*Edit* - before I log off and head to work, here's the Friday morning TV Guide Lost blog/review:

I must agree with Miss Mary here Ben one of the good guys, I kind of doubt that. While he might be a shade of grey, he certainly isn't one of white.

This is what Ben has done while here
1. Removed the children from the battlefield
2. Sent people to infiltrate the groups toi determine whether or not they were "good". Maybe this means, to determine if they were Windmore spies
3. Has attempted to determine the cause of the fertility problem on the island
4. has not killed innocents (A MISTAKE ON HIS PART... had he let Michael blow up the ship, Alex would be alive)
5. He just saved everyone's backide last night from certain death
