This is undoubtedly one of the most remarkable close tornado videos I have seen, and it was captured on the car lot's surveillance yesterday in northern Alabama. Although numerous tornadoes have flipped automobiles, this is likely the first legitimate video to acutely capture airborne vehicles. Not only does it demonstrate the compact size of the vortex, but it also indicates extremely rapid forward movement, since this was clearly not a time lapse stream. The rapid forward motion is quite astounding. This tornado was rated at EF2 status today.

That was truely amazing and very real. Now just imagine a mile wide EF5 like Jarrell, Texas. It look like a strong dust devil but picking up cars. I am WOWed.

That is crazy to look at. The truck and cars were tossed, while the ones sitting RIGHT beside them were barely even moved. Clearly shows how small the radius of maximum winds were. Amazing how quick they ruin people's lives. One second your truck is perfectly fine, the next second it is sliding down the road, and the next second it is all over with. I saw this video on Fox News earlier and was stunned at just how easily it picked up the vehicles and threw them...I also guessed it was either an EF-1 or EF-2 (thinking it was an EF-2 most likely).

Awesome video! Prayers for those impacted, however

On a lighter note, I couldn't help but chuckle at the equipment company's name.

I thought this was something else, a new close shot of a tornado picking up large objects. There are tons of videos of the tornadoes that happened within the last few days.

That video is incredible. Definitely one of the most amazing weather videos I've ever seen!

There's also some good video of tornadoes in Crittenden County, Ar from May 2. They really show the life cycle of an EF3 tornado. Thin, to wedge, then back to thin again.

Looks like a 15 meter wide top EF4/EF5, just passes through the vehicles in 1 sec and throws them. If that had been a mile wide there would have been nothing left standing in the path. Never seen a tornado like that, comparing to footage on youtube.
